Anthony Poppalardo scored a power play goal, his second of the night, with less than two minutes left in the game to snap a 2-2 game as Shawnee went on to defeat Williamstown 4-2 in Tier I action in Voorhees. Shawnee built a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Poppalardo and Dylan Di Grazio as the Renegades launched 15 shots in the period to just 4 for the Braves. Williamstown rallied in the second period getting goals from Enrique Espinosa and Steve Poulin one minute apart at the ten minute mark to tie the game at 2-2.
Each team had a chance on the power play early in the third period but failed to capitalize. But in the last two minutes with Williamstown down a man, Poppalardo netted the game winner. Di Grazio added his second of the night in the final seconds to complete the scoring.
