Tyler Brosius scored two goals including the game winner early in the third period as Clearview defeated Cherry Hill 5-4 in the season opener for both clubs. Elliott Schon led Cherry Hill scoring two goals. The View took a 1-0 lead after one period on a goal by Steve Lento at the six minute mark. Sean McKenna tied the game at 1-1 thirty seconds into the second period with Tom Papa and Jacob Starr-Costello getting the assists. Just under three minutes later Brosius would get his first of the evening with Luke Colella and Lento assisting. Schon would tie the game at 2-2 with just less than five minutes left in the period. The View would take a short-lived lead as Chase Dyar would connect with about three minutes left, but Cherry Hill would get the tying goal from Joe Pearson in the final minute and we were tied at 3-3 entering the final period.
The View would take the lead early in the third period capitalizing on the power play as Chris Geary converted a feed from Dyar and the View led 4-3. Less than one minute later Brosius notched his second of the night to give the View a two goal cushion at 5-3. Schon would get his second of the night with three minutes remaining and despite pulling the goalie Cherry Hill could not get the equalizer.
