Brzozowski big saves late in the game helps Vikings stand atop of their division

Ryan Karbach and Luke A. Riley scored two goals each as Eastern defeated Egg Harbor Township 5-3 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. The win was the third in a row for the Vikings after starting the season 0-2-1 and they improved to 3-2-1 overall and stand atop of the Tier I division. Riley and Karbach scored goals in the opening period as the Vikings led 2-0 after one. EHT dominated the shots in the second period 16-3 but could only manage a short-handed goal by Riley Rudolph at the four minute mark to cut the deficit to 2-1. Luke Ravitz got that one back less than one minute later and the Vikings led 3-1.

Karbach would make it 4-1 five minutes later and with goalie Max Brzozowski stopping everything, Eastern carried a 4-1 lead into the third period. Blaze Tommi would score a power play goal five minutes into the third period and EHT trailed 4-2. Thirteen seconds later Jon Luca Gatta would make it 4-3 and suddenly EHT was back in it. Brzozowski would make several big saves late and Riley iced the game in the final seconds as the Vikings held on.
